BodyAlive! offers opportunities to increase your vitality.

"Raw food" is considered any organic whole food whose enzymes have not been destroyed by high heat and prolonged cooking.  "Live food" is considered non-hybridized, highly mineralized, organic food that still has it's "lifeforce" or active beneficial microorganism intact.  Examples include sprouts, ferments, and fruits and vegetables consumed within 2-3 hours of being picked.  

One of the main principles is that our food has already been cooked once by the sun and the loss of enzymes and negative chemical changes to our food that occur when cooking tax the digestive system unnecessarily, leading eventually to build up of toxins and a compromise in the condition of our blood.  The blood condition is called acidosis.  The delicate balance of blood pH becomes just a bit below healthy (normal is 7.4) , in the direction of acidic.  The result is an environment in our body that supports the development of many of our modern, chronic diseases.

In contrast, a diet with primarily organic, whole raw and live foods is life-giving.  The minerals and nutrients are absorbed and assimilated  efficiently by the body due to the appropriate levels and types of enzymes found in the food. (enzymes are the main catalysts for all metabolic activity).  This food is easily digested and therefore does not cause a toxic backlog of undigestable food.

The result of a 80-100% raw/livefood diet is the likely elimination of symptoms from allergies, digestive disorders, fatigue, joint and muscle pain, depression and many other conditions.  In addition, there are mounting numbers of people who have cured their cancers with live food as a main component of treatment. 

In most cases, people with no significant health issues report an extraordinary increase in energy levels, an unprecedented clarity of thought and a more joy-filled experience of life.
